This way I can\nedit it directly inside of WordPress as I need to without firing up Notepad++ or\nFileZilla.<\/p>\n\n<p>If you select either CSS or JavaScript as the file type you'll have the option\nfor the plugin to automatically link to the file within your page header, assuming\nyour theme supports the wp_head callback. The links are created using either \n     wp_register_script \/ <code>wp_enqueue_script<\/code> or <code>wp_enqueue_style<\/code> \/ <code>wp_enqueue_style<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n<p>And a thank you goes out to Ted Devito for his \n<a href=\"http:\/\/teddevito.com\/demos\/textarea.html\">Tabby jQuery plugin<\/a> that allows \nthe capture of tabs inside the edit text area.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<p>Pretty much like any other plugin...<\/p>\n\n<p>Either<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Upload the <code>plain-text-custom-post-type<\/code> folder to the <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>or<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Download and activate through WordPress<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h4>Usage<\/h4>\n\n<p>Once activated, a new page will be available under the Pages tab. Click on Plain\nText Files and you'll be able to create new plain text posts.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt>Why isn't my file automatically linking?<\/dt>\n<dd><p>Make sure that you have selected either CSS or JavaScript as the file type for your\nfile. Files set as Plain Text cannot be linked in the head of your pages.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt>How did you capture the tabs?<\/dt>\n<dd><p>Okay, not really a FAQ. But I did want to make sure that Ted Divito got credit\nfor the <a href=\"http:\/\/teddevito.com\/demos\/textarea.html\">Tabby jQuery plugin<\/a> that I used. \nI've tried to capture tabs inside of text areas before and it was much more complicated\nthat I expected and my solutions never worked as well as they should.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt>Help, I need more help!<\/dt>\n<dd><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nutt.net\/tag\/plain-text-cpt\/\">My site<\/a> is probably your best bet.
